Author of: Indy 500: The Inside Track

Nancy Roe Pimm grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she rode subways and buses. Cars were not important to her. Little did she know that one day she would marry a racecar driver, Ed Pimm. Nancy and her husband traveled from track to track, where Ed won championships in Formula Ford and Super Vee. He drove in the Indy 500 in , placing 9 th in 1985. Working in the pits with the computers and stopwatches, Nancy learned firsthand about the thrills and dangers of Indy racing.

Ms. Pimm and her family live on a five-acre horse farm in Ohio. She has three daughters, Allison, Lindsay, and Carli.
